The purpose of this course is to enable learners to develop skills and knowledge to improve their employability and work readiness skills and to assist them to re-engage with learning.
The focus of the course is based around orientation into the workforce and pathways into further vocational study. The course is not occupation specific however the student’s occupation interest will be discussed to prepare for succession planning in gaining employment of further study.
The course is intended to provide the student with support and encouragement whilst taking into account their individual needs, backgrounds, and past experience or each learner.
There are no pre-requisites for this course.
There are no entry requirements for this course. However, students are required to undertake an LLN assessment as part of the enrolment process to ensure the student is at a satisfactory level to be able to undertake the training.
This course duration is over 6 months. Delivery mode is classroom based. This course is subject to demand based on confirmed enrolments.
This course is based on 7 units of competency, comprising of 3 Core units and 4 Elective units.

Where applicants can show evidence of prior qualifications or experience in a related field, they may apply for RPL (Recognition of Learning).
Where applicants can show evidence of a current equivalent prior qualification or Statement of Attainment, a Credit Transfer may be given for units of competency.
